Hillary Challenge is a 6 hour multi-sport team event set up and co-ordinated by Hillary Outdoors. This event is held nationwide and designed for secondary school students in Year 11-13. It caters to both beginners and experienced students and involves challenging and fun water and land based tasks.
The South Island qualifier event will be run alongside Peel Forest Outdoor Centre annually in the Geraldine area, with the best teams being selected for the Hillary Challenge Final event held at the Tongariro Centre.
Peel Forest Outdoor Centre staff team help to co-ordinate this event and we also have accommodation available at a discounted rate for teams looking for somewhere to stay while they are in the area.

Hillary Outdoors also runs the Get2Go junior and senior multi-sport adventure events which are great entry level events for students keen to get into multi-sport. These events are run across all regions and age levels from Year 9-13.
